Valchromat and Architecture 3.0

A number of architectural models presented for the “Architecture 3.0” project initiated by the Oporto Serralves Foundation for contemporary art and architecture were made from Valcromat. The ten best works can be seen until the end of summer at “Work in Progress” exhibition in the Serralves museum.
With the “Architecture 3.0” project the Serralves Foundation identified the need to encourage the development of architectural solutions that will help overcome the lack of exhibition spaces in various parts of Portugal, or that serve as an appropriate complement to existing exhibition spaces.
The Foundation organised a call for ideas for an exhibition pavilion, in order to contribute to dissemination of culture and art, making them accessible to a wider public, in particular through the promotion of exhibitions of the Serralves Collection.

A number of the best ten participants used Valchromat, a domestic and well known material in Portugal, to express their visions. 8 mm Valchromat is ideal for making models. Valchromat can be cut with precision allowing all details to be followed, a large array of colours lets the creativity shine.
